Only Australian and New Zealand citizens and those who have had Australian permanent residency approved/granted are eligible to apply through TISC.
Applicants currently completing an Australian Year 12 secondary qualification should apply through TISC for courses at all WA universities, except for ECU’s WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Applicants who are not current secondary school leavers may apply directly to the universities or through TISC.
Applications
Applications for Semester 1 usually open in early June via TISCOnline (www.tisc.edu.au). The application fee could be about $95.00.
Potential applicants can access course and university information, information about applying, choosing courses, prerequisites, offers, and much more, by going to the TISC website. From here, applicants can also change and check university preferences, and find out if an offer of a university place has been made. Some applicants may be eligible for early offers – check the TISC website for details. There are two main rounds of offers, in December and January and places are generally available in most courses for both of these rounds.
Art and Design courses
Selection for art and design courses is based on academic results, interview/audition, folio, and/or other criteria. Applicants should go to the TISC website for specific course selection criteria and requirements.
Portfolio and Experience Based Entry
Many art and design courses offer alternative entry pathways for applicants who can demonstrate aptitude in these areas but may not satisfy standard academic entry requirements. If a course code offers experience based entry, this can be selected as a Method of Entry during the preference selection or change process. A small number of Creative Arts courses may use separate course codes for this entry pathway, check the TISC Guide or Course Search for more information.
Education Access Scheme
The EAS assists applicants whose senior secondary studies (or equivalent) have been disrupted or affected by various circumstances and may not meet the standard requirements for university entry. Additional documents are required, check TISC’s website for details.
